About the Building

Webster Hall was built in 1967 and named in honor of 1909 graduate Ruby Cora Webster, the first documents African-American to attend and/or graduate from our university. Webster Hall is home to English, Political Science, International Relations, Ethnic and Women’s Studies, and the Intensive English Center.

Directions

From 5th Avenue turn east on 8th Street S. Follow 8th Street four blocks to 1st Avenue. Ruby Cora Webster Hall (previously known as 51B) is at the North End of H Lot.

Parking

The nearest public parking is the 9th Street/4th Avenue pay lot or the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center pay lot. Street parking may also be available.
